Ramya Krishnan was born on September 15th, 1967 to a Tamil Iyer family in Chennai. Ramya Krishnan is the niece of veteran Tamil comedian Cho Ramaswamy. She has learnt various dance forms which include Bharathanatyam, Western and Kuchipudi and gave many stage performances. She has mainly acted in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages.
